Site Planning

A great project begins with a great site and we can assist in making sure you make the right choice. We are available for site visits, consulting, density studies and visualization during this critical project phase.

Design and Visualization

We take pride in creating an inclusive design phase where all stakeholders have an opinion and options. We strive for design with impact and integrity. Our buildings fit in with their context yet command attention and will be unique to the client and place. Technology and visualization tools are utilized to allow you to see your design as it progresses and make sure their are no surprises in construction.

Documentation

We understand that the devil is in the details. Our experience in bringing projects from design through construction gives us the confidence to know that our designs can be implemented in the field. Our documents will be thorough and appropriate for permitting and construction.

Construction

We hope that you will consider keeping us engaged through the construction phase. When a challenge arises, we will be there to see it through. Value engineering may be necessary but we will work with you to make sure the essence of the design is not lost and impact and integrity remains.

We use Revit and 3D modeling to deliver visualization throughout the design process. Our managers actively participate in all phases of the project to insure responsiveness and technical quality. While your project will have a consistent team, we have internal processes in place to provide the benefit of studio input and collaboration from our whole team.

Ellen Garland is the Founder, Owner, and CEO of Silver Studio Architects, a dynamic mid-sized boutique firm specializing in full-service architecture and interior design. With a strong focus on multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, and commercial projects, Ellen has built a reputation for delivering innovative, high-quality designs with precision and excellence.

A respected leader in the industry, Ellen is a member of the Women Presidents Organization and the American Institute of Architects. She holds a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accreditation and a National Council of Architectural Registration Board Certificate. She is also deeply engaged in the real estate and design community as an active member of ULI Atlanta, a graduate of the ULI Center for Leadership, and a 2025 WLI Women’s Entrepreneurs Program Honoree. Additionally, she is a proud alumna of the Leadership Buckhead Class of 2015.

Ellen founded Silver Studio with a vision to break the mold of traditional architecture firms, fostering a modern, supportive work culture where top-performing professionals thrive. Based in Atlanta, Ellen enjoys life with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Grayson and Emery. As a family, they love spending time at Lake Oconee—boating, swimming, and creating lasting memories. Ellen is also an avid tennis and golf player and, when time allows, finds joy in cooking and entertaining.
